Olive showed how happy she was to meet her cousin and celebrate turning 4 months old by rolling over! She's going to be crawling faster than you can say "babyproof".

Be-Cousin we can!
YAY! The day finally arrived where we got to travel down Portland way and meet my nephew, Olive's first cousin! Below are some of the fun pics of the fun times we had over the long weekend.

Henri and Olive take their first car ride together. Olive was very interested in this little person suddenly in her life - especially when he cried.

Henri Colorado Gurley!

Papa Patrick lets "Uncle Nat" hold Henri at Potluck.

Auntie Buggles gets to hold Baby Man!

Olive's first picture! (With a little button pushing help from Mama.)

Henri looks scared of the BIG BABY (I can't believe how much she's grown)!

Fun times with Auntie Pepper.

Silly Paddy and cute Henri.

The Family Gurley.

Henri shows some attitude, struggling against his swaddle, kicking off a sock, and sticking his tongue out at me.

It's sort of hard to tell in this picture, but this is Olive's first tiny onesie that is now Henri's to enjoy. I just think it's super cute how she's helping show it off.

Henri rocking some punk hair.

Olive napping in the living room - our temporary home for the weekend.

Angelic Henri.

Olive being the center of attention.

Daddy long legs.

Olive sporting fun hand knit stuff from my Mom (that's Grandma's hand).

The cousins spending quality time together.

The sisters!

Olive enjoying a last hurrah with Auntie Pepper at lunch.

Keeping the grandparents on their toes.

Napping on the car ride back home - good times.

The Amazing Orbiting Olive!
Okay, this is not that amazing maybe, but we think it's pretty dang cool. This picture may not look like much, but what you don't see is that she is now exactly 180 degrees rotated from the position I put her down in 45 minutes ago. This was accomplished by rolling onto her right side and arching her back and stuff. No actual rolling over. AND she managed to stay on the mat. That's a talented girl right there. ;)

And here's a quick pic and vid of her doing tummy time - which she seems to enjoy now (or at least not hate) - go Olive!

What the Blog?
This title is referencing my inability to tap into the part of my brain that should help me come up with something to say - especially given that everyday is full of small but marvelous wonders. But alas, I'm truly unable to think of anything to say beyond giving you straight facts and lamenting my handicap. So here are some stats:
As of today Olive is 3 months and 19 days old.
She is 16 lbs 8 oz, and 26 inches long, both the 97th percentile for her age (oye!).
And she has also been a cousin for 1 day (more info on "cousin" to follow).
Now, the part you all really came for anyway - pictures:

This is Olive playing with her friend Anna when I watched her for my friend Laura. She watches Olive almost every Tuesday morning so it was about time to be my turn. =) (Olive's on the mat, Anna in the rocker.)

Olive being cute and getting into things at Etta's by the Market.

Olive sporting her awesome outfit for Chinese New Year's Eve. Our friends brought this back from China for her and it seemed a good time to wear it!

More of Olive and Anna. This time post-church with a couple of their "uncles" having some fun with them. (Yes, she's totally giggling in the first one.)

Olive getting presented at our church with FIVE other babies (and that's not including 2 of the other recent babies). We're on the far right - and yes, DJ's wearing a tie. ;)

Olive in one of the many cute outfits I realized she barely fits or has already outgrown without ever wearing. I mean, give me a break, she DOUBLED size in 3 months - this stuff looked HUGE last time I looked at it.
