Mom and baby are doing fine. The water broke at 7:30am and we got to the hospital around 9:30am. Labor progressed at a normal pace through full dilation, and Mom (Torrey) took it all like a champ. Only Dad (me) took any drugs for the pain. Olive decided to try coming out "sunny side up" which ultimately led to Torrey needing an Epidural. It all came out well in the end, as our little girl came out with wide eyes for the world and a very calm temperament (and a head twice as tall as any normal head). She was welcomed by a full entourage of family (2 sets of grandparents, and 6 aunts, uncles and friends). She is precious, and we are both so very proud of her.
We are holding an "open house" at our condo for anyone who wants to come visit her on Tuesday and Wednesday (10/21 and 10/22) from 1pm to 8pm. No need to RSVP, just show up. There's a call box at the entrance to our building, so call up and we'll buzz you in. Here's our address:

I'm so glad to hear all went well, and I wish you all the best in your first weeks with your little one. Hopefully, we'll be able to hit the open house, but I'm thinking we'll need to set up another visit.

YAY! so glad to hear she's here! i was worried you were in labor that whole time we were waiting to hear (sat morning till sun night)-- glad that wasn't the case!
