Extended Family

So between me and DJ we have a lot of good, close friends that are as good as family to us. Just in the last week we went to my old home of Richland, WA where Olive got to meet some of the clan for the first time, had my best friend Gretchen come over to visit, and then caught up with DJ's "sister" and her kids visiting from Illinois. Of course this resulted in many pictures, and - now that Olive's a lot more active - a LOT of videos. I'll post the videos separately as soon as I can. In the meantime, enjoy the pics!

Don't try this at home...

The second picture in Olive's amazing portfolio.

No, it wasn't Thanksgiving. This is Gretchen and Dave's house and just a fun family dinner. On the left there we have (from furthest to nearest) Gretchen's Aunt, her Mom (who you can't really see), and my Mom, then me, my Dad, and DJ. From the center to the right side is Gretchen with Olive, David, David's Mom, then "Aunt" Gail, and Gretchen's Dad. Also not pictured are the dog Jake and Polly the cat. =)

THIS is what happens when someone crashes through your back fence in the middle of the night. Long story. If you really want to know you can ask me or my Mom some time.

Pay no attention to the man behind the cereal box. So since my parents don't get to be around for a lot of Olive's firsts we decided to bring one with us to the Tri-Cities - Olive's first "solid" food! Check out the videos for how she did.

Yes, thanks to Grandpa, she now ALWAYS wants to bang on the keyboard.

"Uncle" Mike warily eyeing Olive - what will it do next?

Gretchen again, catching us at the U Village Ram for lunch during her field trip.

"Uncle" Blake plays with Olive after cooking us dinner.

Kellen (who just turned 1 - happy birthday Kellen!) and Olive feel each other out. Kellen is DJ's "nephew". Not pictured are his "sister" Mariah and her daughter Eily, Mother, Father, and Mother-in-law.

great pics! We always love looking at your updates...and just wanted to share this little motherly warning with you all, hope you don't get angry, but be careful throwing sweet Olive up in the air like that; it can really be dangerous to her neck...almost like shaken baby syndrome...read about and just wanted to share.
